The purpose of the association is to support its members in case of need in cultural (e.g. at wedding or naming ceremonies) and in social affairs (e.g. visiting and supporting the sick or supporting the needy), programs, events, celebrations and courses for Organizing the preservation and promotion of Gambian culture (e.g. religion and music), way of life (e.g. Gambian cuisine) and tradition and facilitating the integration of newcomers into German society.
